Now in our seventh year as full-time RVers, we finally made it to Galveston Island for a two-week visit. My wife and I were thrilled when we reached Galveston Island RV Resort and discovered one of the nicest RV resorts we have had the pleasure of visiting. The site layout is extremely well planned with all very generously sized concrete pads strategically located to ensure plenty of site separation. The pool is beautiful and all facilities were fresh and clean. The bark park was plenty big enough for our three canine dependents and several other pups to run and play. It was grassy and always had poopy bags. What a surprise when on our last day at the doggie park I asked one of two gentlemen walking around pulling a tape measure if they were planning to make changes to the dog run. Rusty Walla, the owner, introduced himself and informed us he was putting in a dog wash station. Awesome and not just for the park, but to give folks a place to rinse beach sand off their puppies when returning from a walk/run on the beach which is just a short walk across the street. Needless to say, we have already made our reservations to return.
